‘Late Night with the Devil’ Delivers a Masterpiece Through an Original and Refreshing Take on the 70s in a Great Horror Concept

Credit to  Late Night with the Devil (BYOB) Tickets, Multiple Dates | Eventbrite It has been a long time since I have seen a great horror film that left me terrified from beginning to end. I will admit, it has been years since I have felt this particular fear.  Finally, after three years, I have finally found another horror film that gave me the same terror I have truly missed.  Late Night with the Devil is the must see - horror film of this year.  It is a spectacular horror concept that delivers one of the best stories and scares I have seen in a very long time. The film is about a TV host in the 70s that is determined to become the number one late night show. The host and his crew decide to embark on a dangerous ride, by having actual evil present in their studio.  Playing with fire obviously leads to utter terror among the crew and audience, leaving the viewers completely mesmerized by what the film is going to do next. This film was such a refresher for me as a horror fan.  I wat

The Troop is the Darkest Horror Story About Children Trapped on an Island

Perhaps one of the greatest books I have ever read since Stephen King's It; The Troop, written by Nick Cutter is a tragic/horror story about children trapped on an island with no way out. The novel is based on five children who are looked after by their scout leader, who is training them how to survive out in the wild. Unfortunately, their normal scout training is put to the test when an infected troop arrives at the island.

The troop ends up infected with a monstrous virus, and anyone who touches him will meet the same fate of transforming into a horrific creature. The boys and their scout leader are then picked off one by one, as they each struggle to survive in a small world where there is no escape.

The Troop is utterly brutal, and it made me feel so bad for these fictional children.

Children don't deserve to suffer from a terrifying situation they have no control over, and I couldn't believe how brutal the story continued to become as the boys searched for any way to escape the island.

The Troop shows no mercy, and this novel featured one of the bleakest endings to a horror novel I have read in a long time. This ending will make you feel depressed and sad, and I think Nick Cutter did a fantastic job breaking my hopeful spirit for the children.

Thank you for reading!
