Smile 2 is Taking on a Genius Point of View Through a Pop Star

Credit to Parade I finally watched the Smile 2 trailer in theaters when I went to go watch A Quiet Place: Day One (it was surprisingly a great film).  I was so surprised when the main character was revealed.  I was not expecting the film to focus on a pop star.  Finally, something original and new in the horror genre! I always wondered how it would be like if someone famous were to experience a horrible curse. The smile curse concept coming after a pop star through the many disguises of her fans is honestly terrifying.  Her fans are going to take on a sinister edge, meaning that nowhere is truly safe for this pop star.  The trailer showed enough for me to become totally hyped up for the film, I'm so excited to watch Smile 2 in theaters on October 18th. I have yet to watch the first film, but I'm glad to see that we are getting a brand-new perspective in the sequel! Thank you for reading!  Emy Quinn

Vicious Fun is One of the Best Original Horror Movies Ever Made in Horror History

Credit to Punch Drunk Critics

Vicious Fun is a horror film that is a must see for all horror fans. I first heard about this film when I subscribed to the app, Shudder. I decided to give this movie a watch, because everyone kept claiming it was the horror film of the year for 2020. Once I hit play on the TV screen, I became so invested in the plot. Finally. A movie director finally brought an idea to life that I had in my head for years.

Putting a bunch of serial killers together in one room.

A movie critic accidentally is caught up their presence, and it is up to the nerd of horror films to find a way to survive.

What an amazing, damn script. I had been waiting for someone to write a film like this. I was in shock it hadn't been done before. Having a bunch of serial killers in one group is a recipe for disaster.

While the script is already fantastic, it isn't just the story that makes the film stand out.

The soundtrack is pure 80s, the cast of characters is out of this world, each killer and the main character played their parts to perfection. The comedy of the characters is excellent. The kills are simple, yet effective. The best part, is that literally every serial killer stereotype you can think of is in this film:

  • The hot serial killer
  • The cannibal serial killer
  • The soldier serial killer
  • The camp slasher serial killer
  • The creepy clown serial killer
  • The crazy girl serial killer
This film is perfect in my eyes.

All horror fans out there need to watch this film. I guarantee you are going to love it!
