The Evil Dead Movie Series is the First Franchise to Introduce Me to Extreme Gore

Credit to  Evil Dead Theory:Evil Dead (1981) is set in it’s own universe : r/EvilDead I was in shock the first time I watched The Evil Dead . I had seen so many gory horror films before I had begun to watch The Evil Dead franchise. I couldn't believe how violent this series was, and I fell in love with how creative and insane the kills were.  I really came to love splatterpunk gore, it can be entertaining if given to the right director, and as long as the gore is used to progress the story, I'm totally fine with crazy deaths.  Cause let's face it, throwing in crazy gore without a decent story can become pretty boring very quickly.  Luckily, The Evil Dead is a damn great franchise that never fails to surprise me.  Heck, the TV show is one hell of a ride.  In one of the best scenes in this franchise, there is a part where Ash, the main character, and his companions decide to visit a diner, but they are attacked by demons.  Literally every single character who isn't o

Graphics in Horror Games Don't Matter

Graphics in games have never mattered to me as a gamer. As long as a great story is brought to the table, I will overlook the gameplay. One particular game that has been brought to my attention is the Silent Hill 2 Remake. While I'm content with the graphics and after learning that the game was purposely made this way to appease to the original sequel in the franchise; people are still complaining.

I'm confused why some people really focus on the graphics of a videogame.

Why is that such a big deal to a player?

I wonder if maybe they lack imagination, and would rather play something that resembles an actual person in real life. Graphics shouldn't ruin the viewpoint of a game.

It doesn't matter what kind of modeling the game is given, what really matters is the story.

The story is what makes a game amazing and memorable.

Come on, Devil May Cry 5 had great graphics, but from some rumors I heard, the story sucked.

Last of Us 2 was also given a horrible storyline that pissed off so many fans.

Amazing graphics obviously couldn't save these games.

Silent Hill 2 Remake is barely getting released, and some fans are apparently losing hope. Who cares?

I'm looking for a great story!
