I'm Really Excited for Joseph Quinn as Emperor Geta in Gladiator 2

I know this really isn't horror related, but I have wanted to bring this topic up for a long time.  After watching Joseph Quinn perform in Stranger Things as Eddie, I instantly knew that this actor was going to become huge. So far, he has already made a name for himself in the horror genre, appearing in A Quiet Place: Day One, Stranger Things , and another film that will be directed by the author who wrote American Psycho! I'm so happy to see that Quinn is now going to play a villain in Gladiator 2. I have a gut feeling he is going to deliver one of the best villain performances so far this year. I can't wait to write about Emperor Geta later on, once we get more of a glimpse into his character. Something tells me that this crazy villain is going to be delightfully insane, almost as crazy as some of my favorite horror villains! A new trailer is going to be released on September 23rd, I can't wait to see more of his character! In my opinion, I thought the music choice

Cassie would always hold her little sister’s hand in a tight grip. Once you let her go, she would become a mischievous little girl. Or as Sara liked to call it, she was an ‘adventurous traveler seeking to find the ends of the Earth.’

Cassie had yet to convince Sara that it was impossible to find the ends of the Earth, since Sara believed that all grownups were stupid. Even though she was seven years old, she was now growing into her rebellious stage.

Sara was hopping on top of the couch, eagerly pointing at the window.

“Cassie! There’s an ice cream truck! It’s going this way!”

“Heading this way,” Cassie corrected.

Sara stuck out her tongue.

“Please be nice to each other. You’re sisters. You’re supposed to love each other,” their mother said with a sigh.

“I am nice. I’m super nice!,” Sara chimed in.

Cassie rolled her eyes, but couldn’t help but smile. Her sister was a lot, but she was still her sister.

Even though Cassie wished and begged her mother to hire a babysitter, she was uncomfortable with her sister being alone with a stranger.

She knew she was being overprotective, but once Cassie became obsessed with true crime, her paranoia became so much worse. She believed that some people were evil, wearing human skin to blend in with society.

Cassie prayed that her sister would never experience something so heinous, no kid should ever be exposed to such evil. Cassie felt a chill go down her back, as she watched her sister’s big grin on her face.

It was too horrible to think about.

Sara stopped hopping and ran off the couch, heading straight for Cassie.

“Cassie! The ice cream truck is here! I want an ice cream! Mommy, can I have an ice cream?”

Cassie hugged Sara to her chest, giving her a tight squeeze. Sara started to swing her fists at Cassie, both sisters laughing.

“Yes, you can. Just please stop trying to kill each other,” their mother said with an edge of laughter to her voice.

After one more mini battle among the sisters, Cassie retrieved money from their mother to go purchase ice cream for Sara. Cassie held her sister’s hand the whole time, as Sara struggled to escape from her grasp.

They were the first to arrive to the ice cream truck. The man addressed the sisters with a smile. Cassie was taken aback by the man. He was young and handsome. Cassie hoped that her face wasn’t red as she greeted him.

“Afternoon, ladies. What would you like?”

“Strawberry ice cream! In a cone!,” Sara shrieked.

Cassie tried to not show her annoyance as she gave the ice cream owner the money. The man didn’t seem bothered by Sara’s outburst, as he gave Cassie another smile. She smiled back, wondering if he was single.

The man returned with Sara’s strawberry ice cream. He handed the cone over to Cassie, and then Sara snatched the cone out of her hand. The man let out a laugh.

“My, she really loves ice cream, huh?”

Cassie was too entranced by him to get angry at Sara’s rudeness.

“Yeah, she does. Strawberry is her favorite.”

“What’s yours?”

“Uh…cookies and cream.”

The man disappeared into the truck for a quick second, and gave Cassie her favorite ice cream in a cone.

“Oh, I don’t have any money — ’’

“It’s on the house. A pretty lady like you deserves one. Goodbye.”

The man gave a salute and took off. Cassie watched the truck until it turned the corner. Sara was giggling.

“He called you pretty.”

Cassie rolled her eyes.

“How is that funny?”

“You look like something dead on the road.”

“Roadkill?”

“Yeah.”

“Ha. Ha. Funny.”

Sara continued laughing as she ate her ice cream. Cassie enjoyed her own sweet treat, thinking about the man’s smile and his compliment.

Then she tasted something weird.

Something squishy.

Cassie pulled back from the cone.

There was an eyeball gazing back at her from the ice cream scoop. The pupil was a dark shade of blue. Cassie didn’t realize she had let go of Sara’s hand. She pulled out the eyeball, thinking it was a piece of candy.

The eyeball was dangling from a red strand in her fingers.

She had seen enough true crime to know it was real.

Cassie could hear her sister calling out to her. She looked down to find Sara making a funny expression. She pointed at her cone, and there was an eyeball sticking out of her strawberry ice cream.

Cassie could clearly see that the pupil was dark blue.

“Why is there an eye in my ice cream, Cassie?”

Cassie let out a scream.

I always wanted to write something like this. Ice cream trucks have always been used in horror, and I wanted to do my own version of a story like this!

Thank you for reading!
