I Can't Stand the Horror Trope of Slashers that Can 'Teleport'

Credit to  Teleportation Vector Images | Depositphotos There is one horror trope that always bothers me when it comes to several horror movies.  How the hell can a slasher be in two places at once? What I mean by that is…why do horror directors sometimes ignore how a human can move? I’ve seen several horror movies that were really great, but were ruined by a killer who was able to teleport.  That doesn’t make any sense.  Unless time travel is involved, then go for it, but a human killer can’t teleport! Where does this sudden supernatural ability come from? It’s just so…stupid. So, like, does the mask or the outfit give the killer powers or what? This is a random side rant, but I felt the need to talk about this. I recently remembered a horror movie where the killer was able to be at two places at once, while he was going after two people.  Like he somehow was able to travel across the entire city in seconds to catch up to the other victim. How??? Not even science can explain this!!!

Terrifier 2 is a Fantastic Bloodbath with Great Story Ideas and Insane Kills

I was not expecting the sequel to Terrifier 2 to be that great! It’s not easy to make a great sequel to a slasher film, but the story and its characters was a fantastic add on for the story behind the creepy clown!

The director and his crew were given a budget of $250,000 this time around for the sequel, and they made a whopping $15 million from horror fans!

Isn’t that impressive?

I’m still so amazed by the cast and crew of the Terrifier films, they put so much effort into their practical effects, even Art the Clown’s creepy design looks ten times better in the sequel!

The kills are on a completely different level in the sequel too, I cannot go into detail how everyone gets killed in this one, because it’s way too extreme! Art doesn’t show mercy. At all.

The story now follows a young girl named Sienna who is destined to become Art’s rival, going head-to-head in a battle to the death on Halloween night.

Supernatural elements are now introduced in the sequel, giving horror fans a glimpse into who Art the Clown could possibly be! We are also given quite a bit of lore and story, so I’m going to break everything down the best I can!

Sienna learns that she is somehow connected to Art the Clown.

Sienna is special, but we horror fans don’t know why.

She has dreams of Art, was given a special sword that is meant to defeat the evil clown, and even finds drawings of Art the Clown that her father drew, before he passed away.

She even discovers at the end of the movie that she cannot die!

What could all this mean?

While not all the questions are answered, we horror fans are given enough information to know that Sienna is Art’s rival. What’s strange is that for the first time, Art is excited to have someone to fight.

Does Art know who Sienna is?

It’s such a great introduction to the sequel, and even though we have so many unanswered questions, it’s such an interesting start to the lore of who these two rivals could be!

Art the Clown now has a sidekick known as The Pale Girl.

I was not expecting Art to now have a creepy assistant. She comes out of nowhere, but Art immediately accepts her, when he realizes that they are exactly the same. She even looks like him, which is so freaky!

Even though she doesn’t fight, she appears to be helping him find his victims, and uses shapeshifting abilities to trick his potential victims.

She appears to Sienna to scare her twice, and even mimics her brother to lure Sienna to Art. She even makes an appearance again to retrieve the head of Art after he is killed by Sienna.

It’s hinted that she was a past victim of Art, but why she is helping him? My theory is that they are related somehow, since they look so alike!

Art the Clown and Sienna fight to the death in a blood-soaked finale!

When Sienna discovers that Art murdered all of her friends, and her mother, she decides to enact revenge against the clown to save her remaining family member: her brother.

I loved the fight between Art the Clown and Sienna.

They even struggle during the fight, both opponents literally beating the crap out of each other with weapons, leading to an insane bloodbath! It’s a cutthroat battle, and none of them show any shred of mercy!

Sienna eventually wins the fight, and chops off Art’s head with her magical sword!

This scene was pretty dark, because Art actually mocks her before he dies, exposing his neck to allow her to finish the job!

Can I just say that Art dies like a boss here? Dude is a gutsy son of a bitch!

Sienna wins, and she embraces her brother, both siblings thankful to learn that they both survived.

The movie ends with a crazy…ending.

You guys remember how I mentioned that in the first film, Art had only one remaining survivor named Victoria?

Remember how I mentioned that she becomes evil?

Well…I can’t exactly say what happens here with the ending, because it’s way too graphic to explain in a lot of detail…but let’s just say that Victoria is now in love with Art.

She draws a heart that says Vicky + Art inside of it.

Then she resurrects him.

I can’t say how, because it’s way too insane.

I’m curious if the director is now aiming for a Harley Quinn and Joker romance. The Pale Girl could be like their daughter…so I think that Art has now formed a family of his own.

An evil family to help him continue his murderous acts.

What a really great premise!

I’m so excited for the third film!

It’s going to be released on October 11th! I will be sure to write a review once I watch the film! I can’t wait to see Sienna find a way to take down Art and his new sidekicks!

Thank you for reading!
